    diagnosis is the system of a complete multilateral estimation of a condition of the patient which considers unlike available atheoretical systems of a multivariate estimation of the mental status of patients the adjustment opportunities of the patient as the key system constitute fac tor From this point of view the diagnostic estimation of a mental status of the patient and the char acter of its functioning caused by illness is considered through a prism of adaptation compensatory potential of the patient itself and its environment Theoretical base for modern representation about the functional diagnosis which unites individual biological psychological and social features of an individual is the P K Anokhin s theory of functional systems Substantive provisions of this theory are considered in this article In particular the biological aspects of the functional diagnosis and a role of immune system in adaptation compensatory processes are presented in the details The relationship between the anomalies of functional character and morphological disorders possible to assess based on the changes of a condition of immune system observable in laboratory tests and neuroimaging researches is also discussed in this article The basic concepts such as adaptation mental adaptation and compensation making substantive thesis of

    the study on some psychological factors of the chronicback pain syndrome among men The study revealed that dysthymic personality in parallel with the low self esteem and social stressors can become a risk factor for the development of chronic back pain syndrome in men Thus chronic back pain syndrome is multi factorial syndrome and psychological factors play significant role in the development and understanding of the syndrome pages 12 14
