    on the map Getting the asylum here they faced a lot of problems which they can t solve themselves Mainly their problems are the same with others unemployment bad conditions etc But unlike us they don t have anyone to help them they don t know Armenian language and traditions they are not familiar with RA legislation Sometimes they don t have even a place to live And all this make them more vulnerable than others From 2002 Armenian Red Cross Society funded by the UNHCR branch office in Armenia implementing project aimed to help to asylum seekers and newly recognized refugees Within the project Armenian Red Cross Society providing financial and non financial assistance and conducting special activities directed to integration of refugees like language and vocational trainings This project involves 7 out of 12 refugees who were determined as most needy In 2003 Armenian Red Cross Society started cooperation with International Accountancy Training Center The IATC is providing Armenian language and Computer classes to 6 refugees The trainings aimed to alleviate the isolation of the refugees caused because of language problems help them to integrate into society and find a job The target group of this project is one of the most isolated and vulnerable groups of Armenian society refugees The project is designed to provide participants with professional education in accounting taxation and computer skills The project will enable participants to be ready for the job market One of the objectives of the project is to try to reduce the unemployment rate and migration intentions in Armenia The project also aims to smoothen the integration process of refugees to the social life of the Republic of Armenia by organizing classes in Armenian language and Computer Skills The project start day is June 16 2003 Partnership In particular

    olds There are 1 7 times less employers among refugees and three times less workers with permanent job During the last six years cases of loss of business were 1 4 times higher among refugees than among local residents The real level of unemployment among refugees is 1 5 times higher than that of locals During structural reforms of economy from 1993 till 1999 15 6 of refugees and 14 8 of locals were permanently pushed out from the job market In terms of unemployment the most vulnerable group of people in Armenia is youth between age of 16 and 25 for both refugee and local populations Taking into account the social economic situation of refugees in Armenia and above mentioned statistics we can conclude that professional training provided by the project will be a real step towards reduction in unemployment and migration The realization methods of the main objectives of the project IATC Fund recognizes that the role of public institutions is evident in building a democratic society Being a non governmental organization IATC is aiming to address the problems emerging during the transition period for various groups of society through supporting them by providing with knowledge and practical tools for functioning in new social economic environment of Armenia As one of this groups in our society who needs immediate support actions we recognize refugees The projects will be run by the consortium of 2 NGO s IATC Fund and Armenian Refugees Supporting League Professional training will be provided to refuges living in refugee like circumstances in and around Yerevan as well as to the accountants of NGOs which deal with problems of refuges After completion of the classes participants will be assisted in jobs placements Unilend Employment Agency readily agreed to help with this initiation Besides two workshops

    qualification and training understanding and adaptation of the latest changes in the social environment as well as their better positioning in the society We believe that our contribution to overcome these problems will be a considerable step towards the development of real open and civil society The project will be a partly solution for the problems which is facing the target group The purpose of the project is to contribute to the enhancement of the women s role in the society through delivery of contemporary professional knowledge and assistance in further successful employment IATC Fund recognizes that the role of public institutions is evident in building a democratic society Being a non governmental organization IATC is aiming to address the problems emerging during the transition period for various groups of society through supporting them by providing with knowledge and practical tools for functioning in new social economic environment of Armenia As one of this groups in our society who needs immediate support actions we recognize unemployed women On this issue IATC initiated collaboration with one of the leading women NGOs in Armenia All Armenian Women Union The project will start on 1st of August 2003 Major outputs resulting from implementation of this project About 60 women are trained in total of 160 hours though intensive training program which will help them to start up new professional career In addition the participants will be provided with 6 hours meeting with psychologist aiming psychological rehabilitation of participants Ability to recognize and address their problems to legislative and executive bodies as well as to non governmental organizations Practical tools for good understanding of their opportunities in changing economic and legal environment Additional skills to get oriented in Employer Employee relations Competitiveness in employment market Support for further employment from Employment Republican Service coordinated

    quality of conversion process The decree defines the reviewed calendar for the obligatory transmission to the New Accounting System 1 In 2000 all opened joint stock companies and the closed joint stock companies that are state for more than 50 2 In 2001 all closed joint stock companies that are not mentioned in point 1 3 In 2002 all those entities that are not mentioned in points 1 2 As it turned out the state entities during the period of transition to the new Accounting System have come across a set of difficulties A special support system to state entities should be developed which during the period of conversion in 2000 will ensure the relevant transition to the new Accounting System Local Accountants obligatory training should be included in the system For efficient realization of the transition to the new Accounting System it is planned to create a working staff within each Ministry which will coordinate the process of transition to the new Accounting System of closed joint stock companies of their Ministry for 50 and more and the methodological management of the process will be realized on the behalf of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the RA
